There are countless benefits to Vitamin B from the function of the body to external beauty and the health of the skin.

The essential vitamin B

There are eight types of Vitamin B, all with different functions; B-1, B-2, B-3, B-5, B-6, B-7, B-9, B-12. As a whole Vitamin B helps maintain the health of cells, regulate the nervous system, form red blood cells, and turn food into energy. Vitamin B can be found in a variety of foods including meat, dairy, fruits, vegetables and whole grains.

Vitamin B can be used as a remedy for signs of ageing, as well as reduce the sensitivity of skin:

  • Vitamin B-3 lessens aggravation and indications of ageing like wrinkles and flaws by smoothing out the skin. It can also help treat a variety of skin conditions, like dermatitis, acne, rosacea, eczema, dry and sun-damaged skin, and hyperpigmentation.
  • Vitamin B-5 helps preserve moisture underneath the skin's surface by preventing water loss and absorbing moisture from the air, helping alleviate dry and cracked skin.
  • Vitamin B-12 is necessary for cell reproduction and assists with expanding cell recovery to stimulate wound healing. It also reduces inflammation, dryness, and acne.
